1. What should we wear for our portrait session?
I recommend coordinating colors rather than matching outfits—think soft, neutral tones or a cohesive color palette. I’m happy to help with wardrobe tips and inspiration!

2. Where do the sessions take place?
Sessions can be held outdoors at a beautiful location in Northern NJ or NYC, or at your home for a cozy, lifestyle vibe. I’ll help you pick the perfect spot based on your vision.

3. How long does a session last?
Minimum session durations typically last up to 60 minutes, giving us time for a mix of posed and candid moments without feeling rushed.

4. What if my kids don’t cooperate for our family session?
No worries—this is totally normal! I keep things light and fun, and we’ll go with the flow to capture genuine moments. Some of the best shots happen in the in-between chaos.

5. When will we receive our photos?
Your edited gallery will be ready within 2 weeks. You'll receive a private online gallery where you can view, purchase, and download your images. It's easy to use and perfect for sharing with family and friends!

6. How do I book a session?
You can book directly through my website! Just choose your date, fill out a short form, and submit payment in full to secure your session. Once that’s done, you’re all set—I’ll send over a confirmation and all the prep details.

7. What’s your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
I ask for at least 3 days’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Payments are non-refundable, but I’ll do my best to work with you on finding a new date if needed.

8. Do you photograph extended families or reunions?
Absolutely. Just let me know the size of your group and I’ll tailor the session to fit everyone comfortably.

9. What happens if it rains?
For outdoor sessions, we’ll keep an eye on the forecast and reschedule if needed—no stress!

10. Can we include our pets in the session?
Yes, please! Pets are family too, and I love including them in your portraits. Just let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.

11. Do you offer mini sessions?
I don’t currently offer mini sessions—families usually need a little time to warm up, especially with little ones involved! Full sessions give us the space to take breaks, play, and capture those real, natural moments without feeling rushed. This also allows for a more personalized experience and a wider variety of photos in your final gallery.

12. Can we bring props or personal items?
Absolutely! Blankets, books, or anything meaningful to your family can make your session even more personal and fun.

13. Do you help with posing?
Yes! I’ll guide you through natural prompts and poses that feel relaxed and authentic. No need to worry about what to do with your hands—I’ve got you!

14. Can I get the RAW files from our session?
Great question — and one I totally get! But I don’t deliver RAW files for a few key reasons:

RAW files are unfinished
Think of RAW files like the ingredients to a recipe. They’re not the final dish — just the starting point. What you see on my website, Instagram, or in your gallery is the result of careful editing, color grading, and artistic choices that bring your images to life.

  1. Editing is part of the service
    When you hire me, you’re not just hiring someone to press the shutter. You’re trusting me with the full process — from lighting and composition to editing and final delivery. The edits are where the magic happens, and it’s how I maintain a consistent look and feel across all my work.

  2. RAW files require special software
    Most devices can’t open RAW files without professional programs like Lightroom or Photoshop. They’re huge, unprocessed files that aren’t ready for printing or sharing — and they don’t represent the final version of your story.

  3. Protecting my brand
    My edited images reflect my style and brand. Sharing unedited work that doesn’t represent my finished product could lead to confusion about the quality and experience I provide.

That said — I do make sure you get high-resolution, fully edited digital files that are ready to print, share, and enjoy however you’d like!
